About Us

CCN is an ecumenical body, which exist to support and enable churches to respond in faith to the spiritual and socio-economic needs of all God’s people, commissioned to be a prophetic voice of the poor and other people in society.

Obejectives

  • To foster unity which is Christ will in assisting the churches to proclaim the Gospel

  • To undertake theological reflection and study on the role of the council

  • To coordinate and consolidate the activates of the member churches

  • To promote and protect the interest of the member churches in the matters arising

  • To assist people in need and promote development through self-help projects

  • To cooperate and work together with affiliated organizations in achieving common objectives

  • Training church leaders on causes and prevention of suicide.

  • Assisting the government in the coordination of COVID19 programmes

  • Running HIV/AIDS programmes together with member churches

  • Training leaders on how to address gender based violence in their churches

  • Facilitating youth programmes on behaviour change

  • Involved in addressing educational crisis in the country

  • Training church leaders as conflict mediators in their community in association with SADC

  • Healing and Reconciling families, youth desk on LGBTI programmme, reducing stigma, discrimination and violence. Promoting human rights.

Activities

Raising awareness and educating church leaders on the importance of food production and food security in Namibia.

Facilitate programmes on justice and human right – e.g. German-Namibia genocide issue.

Advocate for good governance and corrupt free leadership.

Train member churches on social contemporary issues – HIV and Gender Based Violence.

Trainer church and community leaders on using scriptures in addressing current challenges.

Solicit funds and network with member churches and other organizations in addressing socio-economic challenges.

Facilitating youth behaviour change programmes together with member churches.
